Do you like fishing?

みなさん、釣りは好きですか？

I tried fishing before.

以前釣りに挑戦したんだけど、

I did not catch any fish.

全然釣れなかった！

It was funny.

笑える…笑。

I was very bad at it.

私には向いてないみたい(笑)。

It was just one time and I did not do it again.

1回だけしかやらずに終わっちゃった！

I was hoping to catch a big fish but no luck!

だって大っきい魚釣れると思ったのに！笑

Last week, I went to the mall.

先週ショッピングモールへ行ったときのこと。

There was a festival outside the mall.

外で何かイベントをやっていました。

There was a fisherman who caught different kinds of fish.

色んな魚を釣った漁師さんがいて、

They were BIG!

魚がすごく大きいの！

It was impressive.

びっくりしたー

There was a shark, too!

サメもいたよ！

Shark is scary! I watched too much shark movies.

サメ怖い！！シャークの映画たくさん見てたから。

In other countries, it is illegal to catch sharks.

他国では、サメを獲ることは法的に認められていないんですよね。

Usually, people catch sharks ONLY for their fins. 

通常はサメのヒレだけ取るみたい。

When they catch them, they will cut the sharks’ fin and throw the sharks back to the sea.

サメを捕まえたら、ヒレだけ取って、海にリリースするの。

It is a very sad practice.

とても悲しい習慣ですよね。

In Japan, it is different.

でも日本は違うんですね。

I was shocked to see shark’s head!

もうシャークの頭見て衝撃！！

I haven’t eaten shark meat.

サメ肉は食べたことないんだけど

Do I want to try? I am not sure.

私、食べてみたいのかなぁ？どうだろう。。
