Merry Christmas!

Hello, it’s J-Kun!

We’re almost at the end of 2023.

It’s been a great year at Hop Step Jump, and we have done so many different things.

Earlier in the year we had a successful trip to Australia. It was Hop Step Jump’s first trip to Australia. The students were lucky to have such a great experience, and I’m sure they will have memories that will last for a long time.

One of my favorite memories was when one of the students held a koala. She looked like she was going to cry because she said it was a dream of hers.

We also enjoyed our easter picnic at Yoshida Park. Thank you to all of the students that were able to come. It was a lot of fun! I enjoyed watching the parents when they were trying to pass the hoop around the circle. It was so funny!

For summer school some students were able to enjoy arts and crafts, as well as cooking.

Some of our older students joined me for Hop Step Jump’s second trip to the UK. I was so pleased to see the students trying to speak English, and trying lots of new things.

When we went to the supermarket, three boys were all trying to use one register to buy groceries. It was interesting to watch!

We had lots of students trying to pass the Eiken test this year too. They all did their best to study hard! Congratulations to those that did pass the test!

We were also lucky to be able to have a Halloween party this year! I say “lucky” because it’s becoming more and more difficult to find a venue big enough for all of our students! We hope that you all had a great time, got lots of candy and spoke lots of English!

Do you remember the big pumpkin in the Trick or Treat tent? How many candies were in it? The answer was 444!

And that brings me to Christmas. This last week we have enjoyed all of the Christms lessons here at Hop Step Jump. The students’ smiling faces remind me how lucky we are to have such good students.

Every student is different, and they all learn in different ways and at different speeds, but I think they’re all trying their best to learn and use English in class. Thank you everyone for coming to Hop Step Jump English School.

Finally to the parents, thank you for always bringing the students to class. We know that sometimes it isn’t easy. But thanks to you, the students are able to have fun and get a good English skill which will be valuable for their future.

I wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

See you in 2024!

From J-Kun.
