Hop Step Jump English school is a small English conversation school, operating in Shizuoka Prefecture since 2012. We currently have two studios (Yaizu City and Fujieda City). Our small team provides effective learning opportunities for around 250 students, aged between 3-12 years old. 

Job Description

At Hop Step Jump, we try to create an environment and a curriculum where students can learn English through play. Although we do provide a curriculum to our teachers with suggestions for activities, games and songs etc, we also appreciate that teachers may want to develop and adapt lesson plans which they feel comfortable with. 

A typical day at Hop Step Jump requires teachers to lead four classes starting at 15:00 and finishing at 20:00. 

Our classes are small, with around six students per class, to enable students to interact with the teacher as frequently as possible, but also to enable teachers to focus on students’ individual needs. 

We require that our teachers will be responsible for maintaining student safety and wellbeing,  but also use their enthusiasm and energy to create fun and interesting lessons.

REQUIREMENTS

• English: Native level
• Japanese: Basic
• Experience working with children
• Must currently reside in Japan
• Working VISA (sponsorship available)
• Available to start from March  2026 (negotiable)
• Drivers license holder preferred but not required

DESCRIPTION

• Work conditions

　　-5 days/wk （Mon ~ Fri)

　　-8 hours/day (13:00 -21:00  average 3-4 x 50 min lessons per day)

• Class types:

　　- 4-6 students per class for kindergarten, elementary and junior high students.

• Location:

　　- We have two schools in Shizuoka Prefecture (Yaizu City and Fujieda City).

• Starting period:

　　- From March 2026 (Negotiable)
